Create a Binance account and buy SOL

SOL is the Solana network currency. You use SOL to buy WYD and to pay the network fees (cents) on each operation. Binance is one of the exchanges where you can buy SOL with regular money.

1. Go to the official Binance site and click Register.
2. Use your e-mail or phone and create a strong password.
3. Complete the identity verification: a photo ID and a selfie. It is mandatory and is usually approved within minutes.
4. Turn on 2-step verification (authenticator app) in Binance's security area.

1. In the app or on the site, go to Deposit and choose your local currency and a payment method available in your country (bank transfer, card or, in Brazil, Pix).
2. Pay from an account in your own name.
3. The balance shows up on Binance in a few minutes.

1. Go to Buy Crypto (or Convert) and choose SOL.
2. Pay with your balance and confirm.
3. The SOL stays in your Binance wallet (Wallet → Spot or Funding).
