Create a Phantom wallet
Step by step to create your Solana wallet and keep the recovery phrase safe.

1. Install it
Phantom is a free wallet for the Solana network. Install the browser extension (Chrome, Brave, Edge or Firefox) — that is how the site asks for signatures. There is also a phone app.
WarningDownload only from the official site phantom.com or your browser's official store. There are fake extensions with the same name.
2. Create the wallet
- Open Phantom and choose Create new wallet.
- Create a password (it protects Phantom on this computer).
- Phantom shows the recovery phrase (12 words). Write it on paper, in order, and keep it somewhere safe.
- Confirm the phrase when Phantom asks.
WarningThe recovery phrase is your wallet. Whoever has these words takes everything in it. Never send it to anyone, never type it on any website, never take a picture of it. The WYD SOLANA team never asks for your phrase.
3. Your address
In Phantom, click Receive and copy the Solana address. That is the address you use to receive SOL and WYD (for example, coming from Binance).
